From my personal collection. Mollenhauer Denners are acclaimed for their warm reedy character with particular ease and clarity in the upper notes. This Denner Alto in F and Soprano in C are both in Pearwood and were purchased in 2016 and tuned by Antique Sound Workshop to A440 Hz and has standard modern/Baroque English fingering. They were new in 2017. The instruments blend well with other instruments and have a lovely ethereal voice for soloing. These recorders really are in excellent shape and have been maintained well, being cleaned once to twice a year, as well as being occasionally oiled lightly as an extra precaution even there are arguments on whether Pearwood needs it. This pair has only been used for indoor play and recording work.
The Alto is available for $235 CURRENTLY OUT ON APPOVAL. The Soprano is $145. This is about half what they are new.
